DFG
and NSF have organized conferences focused on exploring
mutual research intersts in mathematics and science
education and building collaborations between DFG-sponsored
science and math education research groups and NSF-sponsored Centers
for Teaching and Learning.
The
first conference was
held March 5-8 2003 at
the Leibniz-Institute
for Science Education (IPN), Kiel, Germany.
The
second conference was held November 19-21
2003 in Washington
D.C. |

The Leibniz-Institute
for Science Education (IPN) develops and promotes
science education through research. The institute's
research
is focused on questions concerning teaching and learning
in the sciences. At IPN, teams of scientists, experts
